The festival
It is the oldest and largest song festival in Latin America: since 1960, the Viña del Mar Festival has been vibrating the amphitheatre of the Quinta Vergara and its dreaded audience, nicknamed "el monstruo" — the monster — capable of wearing an artist in the nudes or whistleing him without appeal. The 66th edition will be held from Monday 22 to Saturday 27 February 2027, presented by Karen Doggenweiler and Rafael Araneda, with her Gala from 19 February.
At the heart of the event: two international and folkloric songs competitions, awarded by the Gaviota de Plata, interspersed with concerts by the greatest Latin and world music stars. Organized by the Municipality with Mega and Bizarro, it is broadcast throughout the continent.
