The festival
The International Festival of Street Theatre of Aurillac was founded in 1986 and is organized by the association ÉCLAT, Centre national des arts de la rue et de l'espace public. During four days in August, an official selection of invited companies was held there, which included several hundred companies that had been able to pass through the city, transforming the squares and streets of Aurillac into open-air scenes. The official website documents the last edition from August 19 to 22, 2026; the dates of the next edition are not yet announced.
