The festival

The International Festival of Saharan Cultures (FICSA) transforms Amdjarass, in the East Endedi, as a crossroads of the desert peoples, at the foot of the ennedi massif, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Created in 2003 by the association La Saharane, it held its 6th edition from 7 to 13 February 2026, with Niger as a guest of honour and delegations from Morocco, Burkina Faso, Mauritania and Mali.

Races of richly harnacched dromedaries and horses, chamelerie hikes, workshops on intangible heritage and sustainable tourism, concerts: a week to celebrate a Sahara lived as a single cultural space.
