The festival

Madajazzcar in Antananarivo blows jazz on Madagascar every October. Born in 1989 from the passion of young Malagasy music lovers and organized by the Madajazzcar association, the international festival brings together, according to UNESCO, the great names of Malagasy jazz and musicians from all continents and the india-oceanic region.

Free access concerts on the squares and in the gardens of the capital, workshops and "Splendids" for young musicians: the party goes down the street and transmits jazz to all audiences. The 37th edition, "Le Souffle en Partage", was held until October 10, 2026 in five cities, including Antananarivo; no 2027 edition is yet announced.
