National Arts and Culture Festival (FENAC)

The festival

All Guinea is on stage, region against region: FENAC is the great national competition for arts and culture. Heritage dance, theatre, tale, recital, percussion, traditional and urban music, traditional struggle: the troops of the country's eight administrative regions compete in artists, after a "Forths" of pre-selections in the districts, communes and prefectures.

The travelling festival, carried by the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Crafts through the FODAC, was a historic anniversary in December 2025: for the first time, a city from the interior — Koundara, in Badiar, on the border of Senegal and Guinea-Bissau — hosted the final phase, transformed for three days into the country's cultural capital.
