The festival
Brussels is on fire, Charleroi is on fire: during a weekend, Africa and its diasporas are making Belgium their common scene. The PANAF Festival – Sharing African Culture celebrates its 9th edition, carried by DJ Prod: concerts, forum and exhibitions, with the lead of the poster Saifond Baldé — the artist whose concert, ambianced by Moïse 1er , serves as a welcome video to Festival TV — alongside Sidiki Diabaté, Maa Bio, AB 6ylla, King Boss Laj, Doura Yzzy, Tiranke Sidimé, Goulam and Mr Barry.
The weekend is played in two stages: on Friday 30 October, Brussels opens the ball with Panaf Village evening, from 10 pm; on Saturday 31 October, the concerts take their neighborhoods at the Dome de Charleroi (rue Pipe aux Groly, 6000 Charleroi), from 8 pm.This 9th edition is placed under the official sponsorship of Sekouba Camara, and the festival remains faithful to its motto: "For Africa, by Guinea".
Not to be confused with Algiers's historic PANAF (1969 and 2009): this is the festival of the African diaspora born in Brussels.
