Feast of Saint-Michel
The Presbytery Village Festival — all Saint-Michel in kiosks, early September · Saint-Michel-de-Bellechasse, Bellechasse, Chaudière-Appalaches, Quebec, Canada
The festival
In Saint-Michel-de-Bellechasse, a village on the St. Lawrence River, the Fête de Saint-Michel is the annual meeting of the beginning of September: a day of village celebration on the grounds of the presbytery, in the heart of the village. Community organizations and local exhibitors hold their kiosks there — from the Bibliothèque Benoît-Lacroix to the Cercle des fermières, from firefighters to the Club Nautique — and the municipality made its great meeting of the beginning of the year. The 2026 edition was held on Saturday, September 12, 2026.
Good to know
Official overview 2026: artisans and farmers' market, free tai-chi on the opening pier, mechanical bull, exhibition of ancient objects by Marie-Noël Breton, inflatable game and makeup, photobooth, presence of the Mathurin Farm and DIY workshop by Chantal-Jane Garant; in case of rain, the party moves to the Collège Jésus-Marie. In 2025, the Bibliothèque Benoît-Lacroix highlighted the village's agriculture (discussion circle, animals of the Mathurin Farm); in 2024, the theme was navigation and the official plan consisted of 14 organizations and 13 exhibitors, from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Festival organized by the Municipality of Saint-Michel-de-Bellechasse (service of leisure) with the committees and volunteers of the village.
