The festival
After eight years of silence, the Fête des Cultures reunited Libreville from 21 to 23 August 2026 for its 15th edition, on Avenue John Paul II transformed into an open-air stage. Born in 1997, the Fête collects the expressions of the nine provinces of Gabon: dances, music, crafts, gastronomy and languages respond in the street, in the heart of public space.
The edition of the revival, under the theme "Reappropriation of our cultural values", was opened by Pierre Claver Akendengué and welcomed Senegal as a guest country of honour. A feast of reunion, where the Gabonese heritage is lived, tasted and passed on between generations.
