Fristival — Fria Festival
Fria Festival · Fria, Guinea
The festival
Fristival — the Fria Festival — is the great cultural event of the end of the year in the city of Fria, Guinea. Launched a decade ago, it traditionally closes the year in music: free concerts, training days and coaching for young talent, and a scene open to artists from the region as well as stars from all over the country.
The 7th edition was held from December 26 to 29, 2022, with the support of the Fondation Orange Guinea. The 9th edition was launched in December 2024 at the Maison des jeunes de Fria, in the presence of Moussa Moïse Sylla, Minister of Culture, Tourism and Crafts; his commissioner general is Macka Traoré. On December 22, 2025, the 10th edition was officially launched: the Fristival became an institution of Guinean cultural life.
