GlobalFest
Four nights of fireworks, drones and world cultures · Spruce Meadows, Calgary, Alberta, Canada
The festival
In Calgary, GlobalFest is a global pyromusical fireworks competition at the OneWorld Festival, its cultural side of the world: cultural pavilions, performances, ethnic cuisine and markets. In 2026, the festival opened a new chapter at Spruce Meadows, after more than twenty years at Elliston Park: four consecutive evenings — Japan, Mexico, Italy, and then a world final — crowned every night by the fires and the largest drone show ever presented in Alberta.
Good to know
Launched in 2003 in Elliston Park, GlobalFest was born from the meeting of a Calgary fireworks company and an international neighbourhood arts and culture centre, with 10 cultural pavilions and three countries competing for fire, with nearly 100,000 participants. The 2026 move to Spruce Meadows, with partners Spruce Meadows and Showpass, aims to ensure the future of the festival; its community work continues under the name Global Mosaic Alberta Society. Billetery 2026 published: general admission adult from $35, child from $15, VIP from $79, free parking.
