The festival
A great pilgrimage of the Murdled Brotherhood to Touba, a holy city founded by Sheikh Ahmadou Bamba, whose Magal commemorates the departure in exile. Millions of faithful converge each year towards the Great Mosque of Touba, in the heart of the city. The celebration takes place the 18 Safar of the Muslim calendar.
