Grand Prix Cycliste de Charlevoix
Three days, four stages — the staged Grand Race of Charlevoix · Baie-Saint-Paul, Charlevoix, Quebec, Canada
The festival
In Baie-Saint-Paul, the Grand Prix Cycliste de Charlevoix is the staged race that opens the road cycling season in Charlevoix. Its 28th edition was held from Friday 29 to Sunday 31 May 2026, under the sanction of the Fédération québécoise des sports cyclists: a criterium in town on Friday, a time trial and an ascent on Saturday, and then the major road race on Sunday.
Organized by Vélo Charlevoix, within the Grand Rendez-Vous Cyclistes de Charlevoix, it brings together the categories U17, Junior, Senior and Master, men and women.
Good to know
Four stages, a cumulative ranking: a 1.2 km criterium on Rue de la Balade; a 15-6 km time trial and a 12.5 km climb (380 m of elevation, a maximum slope of 24%) at Chemin Saint-Laurent; a 130, 87 and 61 km road from the Saint-Aubin Education Centre. The event is used as a selection for the Quebec junior and U23 teams at the Canadian Road Championships and qualifying at the Abitibi Tour for junior men, and is also part of the ACVQ Super Prestige series. Medals, trophies, scholarships and "GPCC Winner" jersey reward the champions in each category. Over 100 volunteers are taking part in the weekend. On Sunday morning, the same departure also hosts, in distinct waves, the Granfondo de Charlevoix, the weekend participative event (separate sheet).
