The festival
The great festival of cultures of the state of Oaxaca, celebrated every July around the Moons del Cerro and their Octava. Its name comes from the term zapotec "gendalezaa", which means offering. It is the heir of prehispanic celebrations linked to the goddess Centeotl, and it gathers the traditional dances and musics of the communities of the region.
