The festival
The puppets take possession of the cobblestones of the old Havana: Habana Titiritra — "Figuras entre adoquines", figures between the cobblestones — is the international festival of the títere of the Cuban capital, created and organized by the company Teatro La Proa (Arneldy Cejas and Erduyn Maza).
Every two years, puppets with strings, glove títeres and animated objects invest the scenes and squares of La Habana Vieja — Teatro La Proa, Museo y Teatro de Títeres El Arca, Sala Adolfo Llauradó, Quinta de los Molinos — with companies from Cuba, Mexico, Colombia and elsewhere, workshops and a theoretical event. The festival is part of the Red de Festivales Internacionales de Títeres de Iberoamérica (UNIMA).
