The festival
The Halifax Busker Festival takes over the Halifax waterfront for six days, during the Nova Scotia Natal Day long weekend. Founded in 1986, it invites the world's best street performers — musicians, fire breathers, acrobats and magicians — to several stages on the Halifax Waterfront. Its official website already announces the next edition, from Wednesday, July 28 to Monday, August 2, 2027, following a 40th edition presented in 2026.
Good to know
Admission is free: audiences are invited to reward the performers by passing the hat. The 2026 audience award (Dairy Farmers of Canada People's Choice Award) went to Her Majesty's Secret Circus, according to the official website. The fiche visual is a Festival TV house visual (the festival's official graphic is a transparent-background design for the 2026 edition).
