The festival
In the gardens and the Hellens Manor Park, a 170-acre estate in Herefordshire — the 17th-century octagonal pigeon-house, simple garden, maze of the kitchen, vegetable gardens, woods and ponds — the Hellens Garden Festival celebrates the garden, the sustainable life and local know-how.
Organized by a non-profit structure, it gives its recipes to local charities and highlights producers, artists and artisans of the region, around a new theme each year; visitors can also discover the mansion during guided tours on the weekend of the festival. The edition of June 12 and 13, 2027 will mark the 20th anniversary of the festival under the theme "Ways of the Wild" — folklore, fable, myth and magic rooted in the earth.
