The festival
Every year, during the February school holidays, the Southbank Centre is transformed into a giant playground: Imagine is the festival of children aged 0-11 and their families. Theatre, dance, music, circus, visual arts, successful youth writers and a host of free events make up a program designed for the very first cultural experiences, in a relaxed and accessible spirit.
In 2026, for its 24th year and the 75th anniversary of the house, the festival even invited children to sleep at the Royal Festival Hall, on a night of tales with author Jacqueline Wilson. Same house as Meltdown, another audience: the re-emergence of festivalgoers formed there from the cradle.

You are in a festival, a concert, a village party, a traditional party, a private party — even two or three, on a boat or on a plane? Send us your images: Festival TV analyses them, and if they are broadcast, they are broadcast with your name on credit. All the world parties interest us: we want to see how different communities celebrate life and show their joy.
