JazzKif — Kinshasa International Jazz Festival

The festival

In the capital of the rumba, JazzKif opens another window: jazz and its mixed-breeds. The Kinshasa festival gathers Congolese and international musicians at the Halle de la Gombe, at the French Institute, for evenings where improvisation dialogues with the country's rhythms. After two years of absence, his return in June 2022 — including Keziah Jones and a tribute to Cesária Évora — recalled his slogan: "Rhythm is Love".
