Jember Fashion Carnaval

The festival

Since 2003, the Jember Fashion Carnival (JFC) has transformed the city of Jember, in the east of Java, into the world capital of fashion carnival. Its 26th edition was held from 24 to 26 July 2026 in Central Park Jember under the theme "HEAL — Humanity, Earth, and Life", a plea for harmony between humans, Earth and life. New 2026: Carnival opened with an hour-long drama, Dewi Bumi (the goddess of the Earth), before the big parade of spectacular costumes.

The event is one of the ten flagship events of the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism's national Kharisma Event Nusantara 2026 program. In 2025, it attracted 557,509 Indonesian visitors and 284 international visitors, mobilizing 2,643 artists and 106 small businesses, for spin-offs of 60.21 billion rupees. The JFC also parades abroad: in 2026, it was at the Nice Carnival and the Singapore Chingay Parade.
