The festival

The iconic Bahamas Carnival, whose parades run through Bay Street in Nassau on Boxing Day and New Year's Eve. Groups of up to 1,000 people prepare costumes and shows almost all year round, to the sound of goat skin whistles, bells, horns and drums. Its origins are linked to the era of slavery, when slaves had three days off at Christmas.

Your images are worth Festivos

You are in a festival, a concert, a village party, a traditional party, a private party — even two or three, on a boat or on a plane? Send us your images: Festival TV analyses them, and if they are broadcast, they are broadcast with your name on credit. All the world parties interest us: we want to see how different communities celebrate life and show their joy.
