The escape of the Isle-aux-Coudres
Running the Island Tour — road, trail and open air in the heart of the St. Lawrence · Isle-aux-Coudres, Charlevoix, Quebec, Canada
The festival
In the heart of the St. Lawrence River, the Isle-aux-Coudres becomes a race ground for a weekend: L'Échappée de l'Isle-aux-Coudres, produced by Événements Harricana, combines picturesque road races and trail adventures, for both passionate riders and families. The next edition will be held from June 11 to 13, 2027: road on Saturday, trail on Sunday, and for the most ambitious of the Grande Échappée, which combines the 23 km road and the 21 km trail.
Good to know
The island, accessible only by ferry from Saint-Joseph-de-la-Rive, offers a unique setting between sea and mountain. During the 2026 edition (12–14 June), the programme consisted of a Saturday on the road, a 1 km, a 5 km, a 10 km and a 23 km — the complete tour of the island — and on Sunday on the path, a 500 m, a 1 km, a 7 km, a 12 km and a 21 km, with yoga at sunset on Fridays in opening. The organizer publishes more than 1,200 runners gathered during the 2024 edition. Partner of cause in 2025: the Centre for the Prevention of Suicide in Charlevoix.
