The festival

Conakry lit up his big screen and all West Africa watched. The Guinean film festival, which had crossed the five-year course, was preparing an 8th edition with an international vocation: received on 14 October 2026 by the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Crafts, Moussa Moïse Sylla, its organizers obtained the promise of strengthened institutional support.

The programme announced: workshops and masterclasses to train Guinean actors and technicians, co-production tracks to open access to international financing, and bridges between foreign studios, local production and diaspora — like the director and actress Elia, announced among the talents highlighted. After France, the United States and Spain, Rwanda will be the guest country.
