The festival
Launched in 2019 in Banban, in the desert at the gates of Riyadh, Soundstorm is the giant festival of Saudi society MDLBEAST: a short-lived "city of sound" of fifteen scenes where world-wide pop and hip-hop stars, electro stars and regional stagers cross. In a few editions — Bruno Mars, Post Malone, Cardi B or Calvin Harris — the event has become a symbol of new Saudi entertainment and one of the largest festivals in the Middle East.
The 2026 edition, scheduled for December 3 and 4, was cancelled by the organizers on October 1, 2026; MDLBEAST announced that it would concentrate its energy on a "stronger" 2027 edition, without publishing dates.
