The Sisters' Day (Zimei Jie) of the Miao of Taijiang, in Guizhou, is presented by the provincial government as an event of the national intangible cultural heritage. Born from a centuries-old tradition of meeting young Miao by singing and dancing during the field work, it transforms Taijiang into a scene of embroidered costumes, parades and collective songs on the Wengni River.
The 2025 edition announced a parade of costumes for 10,000 people and a Miao embroidery contest.
