Souvenir Festival — historical partner
This sheet is a souvenir page Festival TV classes MondoKarnaval among its souvenir festivals. It is no longer one of the active festivals in the catalogue and has no future edition — but its history remains here, in memory, as that of a founding partner.
The festival
Québec is adorned with all the colours of the world: the Carnival of Cultures at ExpoCité, founded and led by Doina Balzer, bringing together communities from around the world — music, dance, gastronomy and a great karnavalesque parade. For its 10th anniversary, its parade brought together 850 artists from over 45 countries, and the event offered more than 50 free shows on its outdoor scenes.
It was by covering MondoKarnaval that Festival TV established itself in Canada: our first historical partner on Canadian soil, and the starting point of the Festival TV adventure in Quebec. This page remains online as a living memory of this founding meeting.
