Nature One
Nature One · Kastellaun, Allemagne
The festival
In August 1995, 13,000 dancers lived the first large open-air rave in Germany at Hahn Airport. As early as 1996, Nature One settled on the Raketenbasis Pydna, an old American missile base near Kastellaun, in Hunsrück: bunkers and cold-war hangars became dance scenes.
Organized by I-Motion, the festival gathers around 60,000 festivalgoers and over 350 DJs on 20 stages — from the great Open Air Floor to the Century Circus techno — each first weekend in August, around a huge CampingVillage. In 2025, Nature One celebrated its 30th anniversary under the motto "Celebrating 30 Years".
ARTE Concert filmed whole sets: Gregor Tresher's one, captured on July 31, 2026, gives the measurement of the Pydna machine — to be found in our media library.
