The festival
In Bannerman Park, in the heart of St. John's, the Newfoundland & Labrador Folk Festival has been a popular venue for traditional music in the province since the 1970s. In 2026, the festival returned to a reduced format of a free day — its 49 1⁄2 edition — while its organization was rebuilding, en route to its 50th anniversary.
