Prambanan Jazz Festival
Jazz at the Temple · Yogyakarta, Indonesia
The festival
The Prambanan Jazz Festival plays a set that no other festival in the world can offer: the courtyard of the Prambnan temple, Indonesia's largest Hindu complex, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its 12th edition, from July 3 to 5, 2026, on the theme "Celebrate The Joy", attracted a record of 85,000 visitors in three days and more than 50 concerts.
The festival is a unique case: an international commercial festival organized every year by a private promoter in a world heritage site, which has been growing steadily since its creation. The festival is a unique event, with the following events: Indonesian singer NIKI, South Korean bands The Rose and Xdinary Heroes, Michael Learns to Rock, Henry Moodie, pianist Joey Alexander, Kahitna, Tulus and Maliq & D'Esentials.
The Indonesian Ministry of Tourism presents it as one of the country's flagship events for international travellers and is already promoting it by 2027.
