The festival
Rhythm and Vines is the first sun festival: in Gisborne, one of the first cities in the world to see New Year's Eve rise, tens of thousands of young people celebrate the passage to the following year among the Waiohika Estate vineyards.
The 28-31 December 2026 edition — John Summit, Netsky, Vince Staples and BENEE leading the bill — will be the last in Gisborne: "The Final Dance", chapter 24, closes twenty-four summers of history before a move announced in 2027, whose new site remains to be officially confirmed. A historic farewell to one of the world's most famous New Year's Eves.
