The festival
In Saint-Pierre, on the site of the Ravine Blanche facing the ocean, the Sakifo Musik Festival vibrate La Réunion for three days in June. Created in 2004 — first in Saint-Leu, then in Saint-Pierre — the festival, whose name means "what is needed" in Creole Réunionnais, mixes world music, rock, reggae, song, sega and maloya, between international poster heads and the scene of the meeting. On Sunday morning, the traditional "risofé" of the Holy Land extends the feast in all conviviality.
The official website is active: the 2026 edition was held from June 5 to 7 with online ticketing; no 2027 edition is yet announced.
