The festival
Singapore Night Festival is the great nightly event of the arts and heritage in Singapore, organized by HeritageSG in the creative district of Bras Basah.Bugis. For its 17th edition, from August 21 to September 5, 2026, the theme "Myths and Legends" is a 16-night event featuring creative installations, screenings and meetings around the myths and legends of Singapore and the region.
The central piece, Tales of Earth and Sea, transforms the facade of the National Museum of Singapore into a giant mapping screen, created by the Indonesian collective The Fox, The Folks. The Dutch company Close-Act Theatre makes its debut in South-East Asia with its Birdmen, giant birds on stilts that wander through the crowd. A new Museum Zone is added to the historic areas of Funan and CHIJMES, Cathay Green and Waterloo Centre, Bras Basah Complex and Stamford Arts Centre.
The majority of the programs are free; the festival opens from 7:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
