The festival

Every June, Sled Island turns Calgary into a discovery ground: over 200 bands, comedians and artists take on multiple city halls, independent music, humor and the arts for five days. The festival's signature: a different guest commissioner each year — clipping. in 2026 — that tints all the programming. The dates of the next edition have not yet been announced.
