The festival
The SUD, Douala Urban Exhibition, is the public space art festival organized in Douala by the Doual'art Contemporary Art Centre. The official doual'art website devotes a dedicated section to it and presents its 4th edition under the theme "The Place of the Human". The first two editions documented on the same site took place in December 2007 and December 2010.
Good to know
Official source selected: the website of the customs art organizer (SUD section). The dedicated website tradeshowurbaindedouala.org, indicated in the candidate file, could not be opened during the verification (failure to resolve); no date after the 4th edition is confirmed. The candidate mention "last edition: Dec 2017" is not taken up: third-party sources place the 4th edition in 2019-2020.
You are in a festival, a concert, a village party, a traditional party, a private party — even two or three, on a boat or on a plane? Send us your images: Festival TV analyses them, and if they are broadcast, they are broadcast with your name on credit. All the world parties interest us: we want to see how different communities celebrate life and show their joy.
