The festival
SXSW London — Born in Austin, Texas, 40 years ago, SXSW placed its suitcases in Europe in June 2025: its first London edition brought together 25,327 festivalgoers in 34 places, according to the official website. The festival invests Shoreditch in the east of London: warehouses, halls, churches and courts, a few steps away from each other, for six days where a conference extends into a film premiere, a musical showcase or a neighbourhood celebration.
The 2026 edition brought together, according to the organiser, 863 speakers, 353 sessions, 256 artists in 18 locations, 100 screenings and 13 premieres. For 2027, the theme announced is "The Power of Human Potential" — the power of human potential.
