The festival
In Baie-Saint-Paul, in Charlevoix, the International Symposium on Contemporary Art has been a living workshop since 1982. Founded by Françoise Labbé and produced by the Musée d'art contemporain de Baie-Saint-Paul (MACBSP), the event hosts twelve artists each summer who create a work in front of the public, at the Jacques Saint-Gelais Tremblay Pavilion and, increasingly, in the streets of the city. In more than forty years, more than 580 artists from 34 countries have created there before visitors.
