The festival
Tamworth, Australia's capital, hosts the largest country music festival in the Southern Hemisphere: ten days, from January 15 to 24, 2027 for its 55th edition, with more than 700 artists and some 2,800 shows in 120 venues — mostly free and without closed speakers, the entire city becomes the festival. The summit is the Toyota Golden Guitar Awards ceremony, the Australian country awards, on Saturday, January 23rd at the TRECC.
Lee Kernaghan, Troy Cassar-Daley and hundreds of Peel Street buskers make this January's date the pilgrimage of country lovers, official straw hat of rigour.
