The festival
After the success of Around the World in the summer of 2020, Tomorrowland is taking on an unprecedented challenge: celebrating the New Year's Eve with the entire planet. On December 31, 2020, its digital New Year's Eve festival takes place from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m. in 27 time zones at a time — each party is at home at midnight, in music, at the same time as its neighbours in a spindle.
The setting is a world created for the occasion: NAOZ, a virtual entertainment venue with four spectacular scenes (Melodia, Atmosphere, Planaxis and Pulse). Twenty-five artists play over 21 hours of music — including Martin Garrix, David Guetta, Armin van Buuren, Charlotte de Witte and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike — filmed on green background and inlaid in 3D decors.
A unique event, Tomorrowland 31.12.2020 remains the largest digital wake-up event ever organized by a festival. Its official aftermovie, published by Tomorrowland, is integrated below in direct reading.
