Edition 2027 — Tuesday 26 January 2027
The official website of the festival published the program of the day of Tuesday, January 26, 2027. The Bill — the proclamation — will be posted at the Market Cross at 6:00 a.m. Jarl Squad will leave the Islesburgh Community Centre at 8:15 a.m. for morning parades (Toll Clock, British Legion, Esplanade and Commercial Street), prior to civic reception, school and hospital visits, and passage to the Shetland Museum at 3:30 p.m. At 7:15 p.m., the Guizer Jarl will pass the guizers' ranks; at 7:30 p.m., the procession will be set on fire at the Hillhead and will reach King George V's ground for the burning of the galley. The halls will begin at 9:15 p.m. The squad lists, kept secret, will only be published after the party.
