Village in Arts
The Museum Outside — Art Takes the Gardens of Saint-Nicolas in July · Saint-Nicolas, Lévis, Chaudière-Appalaches, Quebec, Canada
The festival
In Saint-Nicolas, one of Quebec's oldest villages, Village en Arts takes the museum out in the gardens of L'Espace culturel du Quartier Saint-Nicolas, an accredited museum institution located in the former presbytery of the village, facing the St. Lawrence River. Every weekend in July, a temporary square is built: free artistic workshops for young and old, creation of live murals, animations and artists' meetings.
Born as a symposium of visual arts and crafts, the event celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2022 with a completely redesigned formula, rooted in mediation and succession.
