The festival
A village in Schleswig-Holstein becomes the world's metal mecca: 85,000 metalheads converge there. The world's largest metal festival: 85,000 "metalheads" from over 80 countries transform a village of 2,000 souls into the world's capital of metal — more than 50 already announced bands (Electric Callboy, Five Finger Death Punch, Helloween, Heaven Shall Burn, Halestorm, DragonForce, Napalm Death, Jinjer...). The Wacken Metal Battle, a global competition for emerging groups, has opened its applications.
