The festival
The World Nomad Games are the great meeting of sports and nomadic cultures, born in Kyrgyzstan on the shores of Lake Issyk-Koul. The sixth edition was held from August 31 to September 6, 2026, between Bishkek for ceremonies and Cholpon-Ata for competitions: 43 disciplines according to the official website, the kok-boru and the horse fight with archery, eagle hunting and spirit games like the toguz korgool.
Next to the events, the ethnic village of Kyrchyn has a traditional way of living, with crafts, music, epics, cooking and fashion. A festival of gestures and steppe, where nomadic heritage is transmitted by playing.

Checked at the official website worldnomadgames.org, open and read: the 6th edition was held from 31 August to 6 September 2026 in Bishkek and Cholpon-Ata (100 countries, 43 sports according to the official website). SPECIAL CASE treated as requested: the same official website announces the VII Games in Kazan (Tatarstan) in 2028, the symbol (kookor) having been passed to the leader of Tatarstan at the close — the announcement 2028 is therefore officially hurled, but without dates, places or programmes (to be announced by the organizing committee). No edition 2027: keeping in "habitual period" biennial. City of the conserved file; the main competitions took place around Lake Issyk-Koul (Cholpon-Ata, Kyrchyn).
