Welcome to the Festival TV mini-site of Miss Guinée Canada, the Guinean diaspora's grand gala in Canada. Since 2010, this pageant — carried by a non-profit community organization — has crowned, in Montreal, the ambassador of Guinean culture in Canada, and celebrates women's leadership, culture, mutual aid and pride.
The 2026 edition is in preparation
The eleventh edition of the Miss Guinée Canada election has been announced and candidate registration is open on the official website. To enter: born female, of Guinean origin or born to a Guinean parent, living in Canada with legal status, minimum DEP, aged 18 to 25, at least 1.70 m without heels, single and without children.
The winner receives a $1,500 cheque, a complimentary plane ticket for the humanitarian project in Guinea, admission to Miss Guinée Nationale and one year as ambassador of Guinean culture in Canada. The runners-up receive $750 and $500.
2026 gala date and venue: to be announced. The gala is traditionally held in October in Montreal — as soon as the official announcement is published, this page and the catalogue entry will be updated.
The latest edition — October 12, 2025
The tenth edition brought the diaspora together on Sunday, October 12, 2025 at Salle Jacques-Maurice of Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf in Montreal, under the theme of diversity and inclusion. Six candidates competed: Fatoumata Kanté, Ramata Jallow Bangoura, Kadiatou Said Bangoura, Djenab Alpha Diallo, Mariam Souaré and Rose Wido Haba.
History
- 2010 — the pageant is created (Comité Miss Guinée Canada, chaired by Fama Traoré); first edition on July 24 at the Palais des Congrès de Montréal, won by Ramata Kourouma
- 2014 — Saran Bah is crowned Miss Guinée Canada
- 2019 — Kadiatou Rafiou Diallo holds the title
- 2024 — big comeback after the Covid pause: 9th edition on October 12, theme "Merveilles de Guinée" (Wonders of Guinea), organized by Leadership Guinée Canada
- 2025 — 10th edition on October 12, theme of diversity and inclusion
- 2026 — 11th edition announced, registration open

Miss Guinée Canada is a non-profit community organization (cultural, social and humanitarian affairs) based in Montreal. Mission: "to promote the culture and beauty of Guinean women in Canada".
