Our method
Festival TV is the global portal for the festival and its entire ecosystem, born in Africa in 2006 and anchored in Quebec. A catalog of this size is worth only the trust that can be given to it: here is how we work, black on white.
Each form is checked at source
Before publication, each festival, artist, professional and place is checked with its official source: official website of the event or organization, official pages, tourist offices, ministries and town halls, and then recognized press. Information that we cannot verify is not published, or it is published with its reserve, never made up in certainty.
Dates are never invented
When an edition is officially announced, we will post its dates. Otherwise, the card indicates the "usual period" of the event, without a specific date. The events cancelled or carried forward are marked as such, and the statutes of our guide "At this moment" (in progress, pending, completed, dates to be confirmed) are calculated from the official dates of each sheet.
Our numbers are calculated, not written
The number of festivals, artists, professionals, articles and calls posted on the site is calculated automatically from the published catalogue, and dated. The world map shows exactly the number of festivals announced. We do not claim any title of "greater" until our meters prove it, numbers dated in support.
The photos are official, or they are ours
The visuals of festivals and artists are their official images (official poster, photos of their official pages and sites) or the visuals produced by Festival TV, still credited. No image of an event illustrates any other event.
