Sherbrooke vibrates at the rhythms of Africa: 22nd edition

Announcement of the dates of the Festival des rhythmes d'Afrique de Sherbrooke (22nd edition, 22–27 July 2025) and invitation to discover exciting performances by exploring the beautiful region of Sherbrooke.

For six days, the Marché de la Gare became the heart of Sherbrooke: musicians from African, African-American and Caribbean cultures, workshops and animation for the whole family. A member of REFRAIN — the Regroupement des festivals régionales artistiques indépendants — the festival made the meeting of communities its signature: it is there for percussion, it is there for people.

Festival TV has relayed the announcement of the dates in the spring and follows the festival in its world catalogue, where its sheet presents each upcoming edition. Another relay for an event that makes Sherbrooke shine far beyond the Estrie.

The next generation is already written: the 23rd edition will be held from July 21 to 26, 2026, with live concerts, and then three free days at Place de la Gare. Official programming announces, among other things, the reggae of King Shadrock, Fulu Miziki and Kizaba from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the kora of Zal Sissokho, the Gabonese voice of Wamazik Naneth, the Kongo groove of Mathieu Kazadi and the salsa of Los Quebelocos. What to make Sherbrooke vibrate one more summer.

Your images are worth Festivos

You are in a festival, a concert, a village party, a traditional party, a private party — even two or three, on a boat or on a plane? Send us your images: Festival TV analyses them, and if they are broadcast, they are broadcast with your name on credit. All the world parties interest us: we want to see how different communities celebrate life and show their joy.
