Working for yourself — the independent festival guide

Festival TV , an endless exploration of festivals and festivals around the world

You chose the way "On my account" in your studio: reporter, videographer or independent editor. This guide is your roadmap — the techniques that make the difference between filming for fun and living your images, without leaving the Festival TV network.

1. Your offer in one sentence

"I film [what], for [who], on [what ground]." Example: "I film the concerts and behind-the-scenes festivals of my region, for the organizers and artists, with a subject delivered in 48 hours." As long as your sentence is not clear, the client cannot say yes. Write it down, then put it at the top of your pro file in the directory.

2. Finding clients

Festivals in your region first : thepro directory is your map — mark festivals, organizers, artists on tour near you. Approach with a subject already done, not with a CV : film an edition, propose the subject to Festival TV , then show the link published to the organizer — "This is what I can do for your next edition". Artists are looking for stage images; organizers, proof of atmosphere for their partners. Be the one who already has them.

3. Pricing without bracing

Two clear formats: the day price (turning alone) and the price on the subject delivered (turn + mount, ready to diffuse). Keeps a floor marker: the grid of the image desk Festival TV tells you what a selected image is worth — your customer price never falls below the value of your shooting and editing time. And always: a written agreement before the shooting (what, for when, at what price, what rights to use) — even a simple exchange of dated messages is better than a handshake.

4. Your portfolio that works for you

Your pro sheet in the directory — completed and validated — is your permanent showcase, visible from festivals and bookers. published on Festival TV are your proof: every broadcast is a link to send. passport (the countries where you covered the holidays) and your badges Tell them your field better than any speech, put them forward wherever you run.

5. Propose your topics and programs

The studio is your front door to the antenna: drop off your subjects, the control watch, the hold-ups pass over the antenna and bring you Festivos. From level 1 of the Academy, you can also propose a program or apply to animate one — describe the concept in three lines: the subject, the audience, the rhythm. The ideas that live are those that can be turned next week.

6. Staying in the network

Independent doesn't mean alone: sell your images to Festival TV between two customers, Mission response The goal: become the reporter that festivals in your region ask by your name — and that Festival TV can recommend with closed eyes.
