Ségou'Art 2027: the Niger River prepares its 22nd edition, and Festival TV remembers
Festival TV showcase: Ségou'Art – Festival sur le Niger is preparing its 22nd edition, from February 1 to 6, 2027, with a music call for applications open until November 22, 2026. It is also a historic partner of this house: from 2006 to 2014, the festival put Moïse 1er “in every frame”.
The festival of the river
Created in 2005 by Mamou Daffé and carried by the Fondation Festival sur le Niger, Ségou'Art is one of West Africa's greatest cultural gatherings: giant concerts on the riverbanks (the Da Monzon and Biton stages), a contemporary art salon, theatre, dance, storytelling and the Ségou Fair. Biennial since 2025, it reports 100,000 festival-goers over five days and 1,500 direct jobs.
A partner from Festival TV's beginnings
The story between Festival TV and Ségou is a long one: the festival has been one of the house's best partners since its beginnings. From around 2006 to 2014, it invited Moïse 1er to cover the event and put him “in every frame”, with all expenses covered. A loyalty this showcase salutes, as the media, born in Guinea in 2006, prepares the next chapter.
Save the date: February 2027
The 22nd edition will run from Monday, February 1 to Saturday, February 6, 2027 in Ségou; the International Fair will open as early as Saturday, January 30 at the Quai des Arts. Musicians can still apply: the Foundation's music call for applications is open until November 22, 2026.
