Mdou Moctar

Mdou Moctar's positive and verified news: concerts, outputs, distinctions and projects — the Festival TV editorial staff only has confirmed information in a spirit of celebration.

2024 — "Funeral for Justice", album of the year. In May 2024, Mdou Moctar published "Funeral for Justice" by Matador Records, hailed as one of the great albums of the year, until he was named Album of the Week by Stereogum. An electric and urgent Tuareg rock, recorded with his entire band.

2025 — "Tears of Injustice", the acoustic version. On February 28, 2025, the band released "Tears of Injustice": the same repertoire that was re-recorded entirely with acoustic and traditional instruments, filmed in part at Agadez for the series The Agadez Folders. The band defended it on tour in Canada, the United States and up to the Fuji Rock Festival in Japan.
