Takana Zion
The "African Sizzla": the reggae voice of Guinea, from Bamako to L'Olympia in Paris.
Biographie
Takana Zion — Mohamed Mouctar Soumah — is the leading figure of the Guinean reggae: messenger Rastafari, he sings Africa and is a young man. On 2 October 2022, his concert at the Conakry stadium brought together more than 50,000 people; on 14 June 2025, he filled the Olympia in Paris — only Mory Kanté and Sékouba Bambino had succeeded before him. On his return to the country, he founded the Nimba Reggae Festival (2025) to transmit the flame.

Takana Zion in Paleo 2009
In 2009, Takana Zion climbed to the stage of the Paleo Festival in Nyon (Switzerland) — the country's largest open air festival. An appointment remained in memory: the concert was cut from 2 minutes 50. The artist's signature for this moment: "Takana Zion — Paleo Festival, Nyon (Switzerland), 2009". The concert video is not yet hosted on Festival TV; the festival's mini-site tells this and all the others.
