The festival
Where the river meets the fjord, a whole village sings in French. Born in 1984 — from a jam that lasted a whole night at the Café du Fjord, tells the legend — the Tadoussac Song Festival is the precursor of the song festivals in Quebec: about 60 concerts in four days, in a village of just 900 inhabitants whose population is fivefold — and its Writing Paths have been the successor since 2003.
Directed by Myriam SénéchalThe first woman to be the director of the festival, Tadoussac, has been cultivating a programme of joint events and intimate encounters: concerts in the dunes, at the pub, kayaking in the fjord or at the church. The 2026 edition (42nd, 11-14 June) inaugurated a new Place du Festival in the heart of the village and aimed at some 18,000 passages. The 43rd edition will be held from 10 to 13 June 2027; Lou-Adriane Cassidy and Thomas Fersen are the first names announced.
