The festival
Under the big trees of Botanic Park / Tainmuntilla, "The World's Festival" makes Australia dance to the sounds of the world. From the WOMAD network founded by Peter Gabriel, the great Australian celebration of world music and cultures celebrates its 35th anniversary in 2027: the first wave line Underworld, Leon Bridges, Madness and Tinariwen's Tuaregs, Malian Fatumata Diawara, South African BCUC and Claudio Rabe (Madagascar / La Réunion), Indian violinist Dr. L.
Subramaniam — present at the first WOMADelaide in 1992 — Christine Anu, the Ukrainians of DakhaBrakha, Altın Gün, Maria Arnal, Wild Wild Women, India's first all-female rap band, and Bhutan's first artists in the festival's history.
